Forty-third Ward Committeeman Michele Smith has announced endorsements made by her constituents for the upcoming primary.
For the most part, the 43rd Ward has lined up with the county judicial slate.
David Ellis and John B. Simon were endorsed for the Appellate Court. The 43rd Ward Democrats also agreed with the county party on Alfred M. Swanson, Jr., Maritza Martinez, Daniel J. Kubasiak, Patricia Sheahan O'Brien, Caroline Kate Moreland, Thomas J. Carroll, Cynthia Y. Cobbs, and Andrea Michele Buford.
However, for the Gordon vacancy on the Appellate Court, the 43rd Ward Democrats have endorsed Justice Shelly A. Harris over the slated candidate, Judge Freddrenna M. Lyle. The 43rd Ward Democrats also endorsed Judge Peter J. Vilkelis and Patricia S. Spratt over the slated candidates in the races for the Connors and Neville vacancies.
The 43rd Ward Democrats chose to make no endorsement in the race for the Reyes vacancy.
