Judge Lawler had extensive bench and trial experience before his appointment to the Circuit Court in 2013. Judge Lawler is currently assigned to a pro se litigation call and serves as a floating judge when needed in other courts. Judge Lawler is well regarded for his legal knowledge, fine demeanor and temperament, and commitment to excellence. Judge Lawler is also involved in educational and charitable organizations.

Hon. Christopher Lawler was admitted to practice in Illinois in November 1988. He was appointed to the Circuit Court by the Illinois Supreme Court in 2013. Before becoming a judge, he was in private practice focusing on insurance defense work.
