Some Chicago firefighters doing a slow burn over Chwarzynski bench bid?

That's the contention made by Chicago Sun-Times reporter Fran Spielman in an article available online this morning, "Firefighters hot that ousted union chief running for judge."

John W. Chwarzynski is a candidate for the Riley vacancy in Cook County's 11th Judicial Subcircuit. A former president of the Chicago Fire Fighters Union, Local 2, and an attorney since 2000, Chwarzynski maintains a law office on the far northwest side of Chicago. Local 2 has recommended three candidates in the 11th Subcircuit race, Lisa Marino, John Michael Lagattuta, and Steven J. Fruth.
