Ald. Michele Smith has announced an opportunity for 43rd Ward residents to meet countywide judicial candidates and candidates running in the 8th Judicial Subcircuit on Tuesday, February 21.
The informal 'meet and greet' will follow a debate between the two Democratic candidates for Clerk of the Circuit Court, incumbent Dorothy Brown and challenger (and 22th Ward Ald.) Ricardo Muñoz, starting at 6:30pm. Andy Shaw, the President and CEO of the Better Government Association, will serve as moderator of the debate.
The debate, and the judicial candidate 'meet and greet' that follows (running until 8:00pm), will be held at St. Paul's Church, 2335 N. Orchard.
Ald. Smith, who also serves as Democratic Committeeman of the 43rd Ward, writes that there will be no speeches from the judicial candidates, "just a chance to meet and greet them in an informal setting."
