Outgoing 41st Ward Committeeman Tim Heneghan; Heneghan's preferred successor, Joe Cook; and the 41st Ward Democratic Organization have made a number of endorsements for the forthcoming primary.
The 41st Ward Dems endorse Justice Nathaniel Roosevelt Howse for the Supreme Court. In the Appellate Court contests, the 41st Ward group has endorsed Judge Carolyn J. Gallagher (Neville, Jr. vacancy) and Justice John Griffin (Simon vacancy).
The 41st Ward Organization departs from the Cook County Democratic Party's endorsed slate nearly every contested countywide judicial race. For the Coghlan vacancy, the 41st Ward Dems endorse Elizabeth "Beth" Ryan. They chose to make no endorsement for the Ford vacancy.
Daniel L. Collins received the nod for the Funderburk vacancy. Also endorsed were Suzanne Therese McEneely (Larsen vacancy), Jennifer Patricia Callahan (Cook's spouse) (Mason vacancy), Michael O'Malley (McCarthy vacancy), Amanda "Mandy" Pillsbury (Murphy Gorman vacancy), Heather Anne Kent (O'Brien vacancy), Lorraine Mary Murphy (Roti vacancy), and Russell W. Hartigan (C. Sheehan vacancy).
The only two slated candidates receiving official support in the 41st Ward are Judge Kerrie Maloney Laytin (Bellows vacancy) and Jill Rose Quinn (K. Sheehan vacancy).
The 41st Ward Dems have endorsed Pamela "Pam" Stratigakis (Axlerood vacancy) and Judge Michael Alan Strom (Luckman vacancy) in the 9th Subcircuit contests.
In contested 10th Subcircuit races, the organization urges support for Jon Stromsta (McGing vacancy) and Audrey Victoria Cosgrove (O'Brien vacancy).
In other races of interest to FWIW readers, the 41st Ward Democratic Organization has endorsed Donna More for State's Attorney and Michael M. Cabonargi for Clerk of the Circuit Court.
