30th Ward Democrats offer choices in Cook County judicial races

The 30th Ward Regular Democratic Organization has endorsed Justice Jesse G. Reyes for the Illinois Supreme Court and Judge Sandra Gisela Ramos for the Neville Jr. vacancy on the Appellate Court.

In addition to taking a pass on the Appellate Court's Simon vacancy, the 30th Ward Regular Democratic Organization makes no endorsements for the countywide Funderburk, Larsen, Murphy Gorman, O'Brien or C. Sheehan vacancies on the Circuit Court.

In the countywide races in which the 30th Ward Dems have expressed opinions, they have followed the countywide slate with Kerrie Maloney Laytin (Bellows), Laura Ayala-Gonzalez (Ford), Chris Stacey (Mason), Teresa Molina (McCarthy), Araceli Reyes De La Cruz (Roti), and Jill Rose Quinn (K. Sheehan). However, the 30th Ward Regular Democratic Organization has announced its preference for Elizabeth "Beth" Ryan in the race for the Coghlan vacancy (over Judge James T. Derico, Jr.).

In subcircuit races, the 30th Ward has endorsed John Garrido in the race for the McGing vacancy in the 10th Subcircuit and, in the 6th Subcircuit, Jamie Guerra Dickler (Nega vacancy) and Eileen Marie O'Connor (Pantle vacancy).

In other contests of interest to FWIW readers, the 30th Ward Regular Democratic Organization has endorsed State Sen. Iris Y. Martinez for Clerk of the Circuit Court and Bill Conway for Cook County State's Attorney.

The Organizing the Data posts have been updated accordingly.

Not one endorsement of an African American candidate. So much for the black-brown coalition...

There were many African American endorsements that didn't include a single Latinx candidate. Shameful
