Second Subcircuit candidate Steven G. Watkins was interviewed tonight on CLTV's Politics Tonight. No, I don't have the video to share (I'm asking about that) but I did find Watkins' campaign website; there's a link to the site in the preceding sentence and the link has also been added to the blog Sidebar.
Watkins has been licensed as a lawyer in Illinois since 1991. He maintains a law office in Chicago's Park Manor neighborhood, on E. 75th Street. Watkins cites long-time membership in Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. and 100 Black Men of Chicago, Inc. (which he serves as general counsel) as examples of his community service. According to his campaign biography, Watkins has served on the Board of Directors of non-profit organizations including the South Side YMCA and Casa Esperanza, a shelter for women and children.
