Owens J. Shelby website goes online

A campaign website has been established for Owens J. Shelby, candidate for the Taylor vacancy in the 7th Subcircuit. That's a link to the candidate's website in the preceding sentence; a link has also been added to the blog Sidebar.

According to ARDC, Shelby has been licensed in Illinois since 2007. According to the résumé linked on his website, Shelby graduated from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2007. He did his undergraduate work at Morehouse College in Atlanta, earning a B.A. in Finance in 2004. Shelby is currently employed as an Assistant Cook County State's Attorney. Before joining that office, in 2008, Shelby worked for a brief time as an assistant counsel in the Office of the Speaker of the Illinois House of Representatives. The résumé also notes that Shelby worked for a time, in 2009-2010, as a contract attorney for the law offices of Lovey and Lovey.
