As the days grow short before the primary, there seem to be any number of last minute announcements. I'm reminded of Bob Elson, the long-time, long-ago White Sox broadcaster who, during home games (in addition to exhorting his listeners to call Friendly Bob Adams at Household Finance), used to encourage motorists in the neighborhood to stop on by the ballpark and catch the rest of the game....
Anyway, if you're in the neighborhood around Devon and Western this afternoon, you're invited to stop on by the candidate forum sponsored by the American Muslim Task Force -- 2519 W. Devon, to be specific, starting at 4:30.
State Senator Ira Silverstein, Cook County Sheriff Tom Dart, and 49th Ward Ald. Joe Moore are listed as special guests for the event. I've been told that a number of judicial candidates are expected to attend.
