Supporters of countywide judicial candidate Timothy John Leeming (Dooling vacancy) have launched a campaign website on his behalf. That's a link to the site in the preceding sentence; a link has been added to the blog Sidebar.
An Assistant Public Defender, Leeming has been licensed as an attorney in Illinois since 1986, according to ARDC. His campaign biography notes that he has "litigated hundreds of cases before the higher reviewing Appellate Courts of Illinois" and tried "hundreds of cases... in the felony courts."
Leeming's campaign bio notes that he has been a dues-paying member of the legal labor union for 30 years, elected twice to the executive board, and a union steward for 20 years.
On a personal note, the campaign bio notes that Leeming and his wife have raised four children. He has coached youth baseball, gotten involved in Scouting, and spent summers "mentoring High School Students who travel to work on homes in poverty-stricken West Virginia (Appalachian Service Project)."
Leeming also has formal training as an artist. He has exhibited in art galleries and some of his paintings and prints hang in local coffee shops and taverns. Also a musician, playing guitar and other instruments, Leeming is the founder and lead guitar player for the band "The Rotisserie Chickens."

the first time I've been a day late... or, for that matter, a dollar short.
