February 29 fundraiser for Judge Anthony Simpkins

Supporters of Judge Anthony Simpkins' bid for the Hopkins vacancy in the 1st Subcircuit are holding a fundraiser for their candidate on Monday, February 29, from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m., at the Billy Goat Inn Madison Ave., 1535 W. Madison (near the United Center).

Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle is hosting the event. Other members of the host committee include 21st Ward Ald. Howard Brookins, Jr., 8th Ward Ald. (and Clerk of the Circuit Court candidate) Michelle A. Harris, 6th Ward Ald. Roderick Sawyer, Cook County Commissioner Robert Steele (2nd Dist.), and Cook County Recorder of Deeds Karen Yarbrough.
