City numbers are just starting to come in. Not seeing anything yet from the suburbs.
According to Frank Calabrese, there are 134,000 mail-in ballots in the Cook County suburbs, with another 75,000 outstanding in the City. That doesn't necessarily mean that there are that many languishing in the postal system somewhere. Some were undoubtedly discarded as voters decided to vote at an early voting site instead, or decided to vote today. Any mail-in ballots not postmarked today, or before today, will not be counted.
The presidential election may not be decided tonight. The fate of the "fair tax" amendment will almost certainly not be decided tonight. But I will update on the two contested subcircuit races and retention races as numbers become available (hopefully) later this evening.
