Lawyers Rock for benefit of the Illinois Bar Foundation on March 7

The Illinois Bar Foundation will benefit from a battle of lawyer-led bands on Thursday, March 7, starting at 6:00 p.m at the Bottom Lounge, 1375 W. Lake Street. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.

Four lawyer-led bands will compete for the Hall of Fame Award, voted on by a panel of celebrity judges, and the Fan Favorite Award, voted on by those in attendance. The participating bands are:
  • La Fete du Funk, sponsored by J. Nelson Wood, Tuckey Law and Lindsey Lund (making their Lawyers Rock debut),
  • Flood Waters, sponsored by McGuire Woods LLP,
  • The Motions, sponsored by ISBA Mutual Insurance Company, and
  • The Thornes, sponsored by Advocus National Title Insurance Company.
The Bisceglia Brothers will provide the opening set. Pete Hoste, of Leahy Hoste Alkaraki, will serve as MC. The celebrity judges are Ken Arlen, a musician and bandleader with the Arlen Evolution Orchestra; Greg Guy, a musician in his own right (the recipient of an Honorary Master of Blues from the Chicago Blues Hall of Fame) and the son of blues legend Buddy Guy; and Mary Lane, recognized as a Legendary Blues Artist by the Chicago Blues Hall of Fame in 2019.

General admission tickets for the event are $50 each. General admission includes food, complimentary valet parking, and two beverage tickets. VIP tickets are also available for $100 each. VIP tickets include food, complimentary parking, and open bar. These tickets can be purchased at this ticketweb link.

Proceeds of this fundraiser will benefit the statewide programs of the Illinois Bar Foundation as well as as the juvenile justice causes supported by the M. Denny Hassakis Fund.
