At least one candidate apparently has hope that this never-ending, cold, wet gloom will somehow ripen into spring, at least judging by this flyer for a Friday, May 6 fundraiser for Elizabeth "Beth" Ryan:
Ryan's event is set for Friday, May 6, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., at The Flower Firm, 1945 W. Fulton St.
Music will be provided by Old Style Neon; food and beverages will be served. Tickets are $50 apiece, but sponsorships are available ($250 - $500 - $1,000 - $2,500) and any of these may be obtained online at www.paypal.me/Ryanforjudge.
Ryan's supporters have also launched a campaign website for their candidate. That's a link to the site in the preceding sentence; a link has been added to the site Sidebar.
Licensed to practice law in Illinois since 2004, according to ARDC, Ryan is the owner of the Loop Law Office of Elizabeth C. Ryan. Born and raised on the South Side of Chicago, according to her campaign biography (Christ the King, Mother McAuley), Ryan now resides on the Northwest Side of the City, in Sauganash, with her husband and four daughters. She currently serves on the school board at Queen of All Saints.
