38th Ward Ald. Nicholas Sposato isn't running for Committeeman; State Sen. Rob Martwick has no opposition in that race (although he does have a contest in his bid to retain his seat in the Senate).
However, Sposato used to be Committeeman. Perhaps he got in the habit of making endorsements then. In any event, he's issued a number of endorsements for the upcoming primary, including many in judicial races.
Specifically, Sposato has endorsed Justice Jessie G. Reyes for the Supreme Court and Judge Carolyn Gallagher for the Neville, Jr. vacancy on the Appellate Court.

Ought to call this slate "Reyes and the White Folks! Before Jack flushes my comment, all of you should rest assured that polar opposite slates with slightly differing permutations will be popping up all over the county. All-black, all-white, all-PD, all-prosecutor. So before any of you starting "ranting" just remember "civility screen" is in full effect.
All of these candidates have presumably sworn their blood oaths to Bill Conway and FOP Lodge 7, right?

This is embarrassing. He's picked the whitest list I've seen. That could be tolerable but he's endorsed some candidates with multiple negative bar ratings.
Garrido is a Republican so I guess Nick is switching parties.
Alderman Nick has announced an early retention endorsement for Judge Jackie Portman. She likes locking up black kids as much as Nick does.

Reyes must remember to pass out this palm card at the next Diversity Unity Dinner. None of these bad-bar rating clowns will be on the 8th Ward palm card.
