A new countywide judicial vacancy has opened up, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections.
Administrative Law Judge Fredrick H. Bates was listed as the 'first alternate' following the August slating meeting of the Cook County Democratic Party Central Committee. He presumably is pre-slated this morning for the new Richard F. Walsh vacancy.
