Attorney Thomas Flannigan advised by email this afternoon that he plans to spend tonight standing in line in Springfield, waiting to file petitions tomorrow morning for himself (he'll be filing, he writes, for both a Circuit Court vacancy and for the vacancy on the Illinois Supreme Court). He will also be filing, he writes, another set of petitions on behalf of his wife, Circuit Court Judge Ellen L. Flannigan. Judge Ellen Flannigan will be seeking one of the vacancies on the First District of the Illinois Appellate Court.
Ellen Flannigan was elected from the 12th Judicial Subcircuit in 2006. She was a candidate for the McNulty vacancy on the Appellate Court in 2010. Thomas Flannigan sought a 12th Subcircuit vacancy in 2008; he filed for the countywide Bronstein vacancy in 2010.
