As mentioned here briefly the other morning, Colleen Reardon Daly has announced plans to seek a 10th Subcircuit vacancy in the 2018 primary. Her supporters have launched a campaign website supporting her candidacy. That's a link to the site in the preceding sentence; a link has also been added to the blog Sidebar.
Her campaign bio notes that she has been in private practice since 2010, a sole practitioner operating as Colleen R. Daly, Attorney at Law, LLC. Before that, Daly spent 13 years as an Assistant State's Attorney in Cook County, rising through the ranks to a felony courtroom. Daly has been licensed as an attorney in Illinois since 1996.
Daly is also a certified teacher, according to her campaign bio, and volunteers for "Wills For Heroes," drafting wills and other legal documents for first responders. A runner, Daly has run marathons to raise funds for Misericordia and the Danny Did Foundation. Daly and her husband, a Chicago Police sergeant, are the parents of three children. She previously ran for a 10th Subcircuit vacancy in 2016.

Charlie Meyerson's Chicago Public Square had this yesterday, but it's not
the first time I've been a day late... or, for that matter, a dollar short.

I have been opposing counsel to Colleen. She's smart, fair, considerate, and professional. We'd be lucky to have her as a judge.
A name like that and she isn't running countywide? Hmmm.
