Licensed as a lawyer in Illinois since 2005, according to ARDC, Frausto-Sandoval's website describes her as a solo immigration attorney, working to keep families together in the U.S.
Frausto-Sandoval's campaign biography says that she is the youngest of nine children, two of whom were born in Guadalajara before her parents moved to America. Frausto-Sandoval is married to a Chicago Public School teacher; they live in Gage Park and are the parents of two young children.
