Supporters of 12th Subcircuit Republican candidate Alan Jacob have launched a campaign website on his behalf. That's a link to the site in the preceding sentence; a link has been added to the blog Sidebar.
Jacob is the proprietor of AMJ Legal Services in Skokie; he has been licensed in Illinois since 2007, according to ARDC. His campaign bio traces his career from a Marine Corps enlistment, to service as a Cook County Sheriff's Deputy and North Chicago police officer and, later, as a "Sworn Peace Officer/Deputy Sheriff-Coroner for the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office in Modesto, California."
Jacob came back to Illinois for law school, attending John Marshall, and, according to his campaign bio, graduating in 2½ years. He tried his first case, for the Public Defender's Office, under a 711 permit. Jacob has run his own law practice since graduation, focusing on litigation. A Glenview resident, Jacob and his wife are the parents of two sons.
