The Illinois Supreme Court announced today that Judge Allan S. Goldberg will soon retire from judicial service (he's been a judge since 1992) and that Supreme Court Mary Jane Theis will ask her screening committee to review the credentials of lawyers hoping for an appointment to that upcoming vacancy.
The deadline for submission of applications is September 18. This vacancy will be among those filled in the 2014 primary. For more information about how and where to apply, click on the first link in this post.
