All three appointed judges slated for election by 8th Subcircuit committeemen

Multiple sources have confirmed that Judges Michael Forti, Robin D. Shoffner, and Myron "Mike" Mackoff, the three judges appointed by the Illinois Supreme Court to 8th Subcircuit vacancies, have been slated for election by the Democratic Party committeemen of the 8th Subcircuit. Judge Shoffner is the first African-American to be appointed and slated to a vacancy in the 8th, a subcircuit that largely snakes along Chicago's Lakefront, and includes Chicago's 48th, 46th, 43rd, 44th, and 42nd Wards, as well as parts of the 3rd, 4th, 11th, 27th, 2nd, 25th, 32nd, 40th, 47th, and 49th Wards.

The 8th Subcircuit slating committee met yesterday evening at Ann Sather's Restaurant on Belmont. In addition to slating the three sitting judges, Lindsay Hugé was named as an alternate, meaning that he would be 'pre-slated' for a fourth vacancy in that subcircuit, should one open up in time for the March 2018 Primary.

Big time congratulations to the slated candidates.

And is there any information about if/when slating will be held for the 4th Sub?

Jeanne Wrenn looks like a very strong candidate against any of these three.
