Where a vacancy has been filled by an interim Supreme Court appointment, I have provided the identity of the appointee. If history is any guide, there will still be several more vacancies opening up in the months to come. One of the nine persons recently slated for supposedly existing countywide vacancies sure hopes so -- because, right now, just as I've been reporting, the Supreme Court's list of countywide vacancies stands at eight.

Wrong list, Jack. Well, at least for the countywides. What we want to know is which vacancies are the Party's meal tickets slated for? Especially Gudino, Nowinski, Brookins, Donnelly and Weaver.

is it true that the party won't start circulating until 2 weeks after 1/13 to conceal who is in which vacancy? won't matter. our slate has all of the vacancies covered and our ballot names are solid. you can't knock us off and we don't care if your slate is on the ballot or not. see you in July, Sean.
If this is the slate that I think it is, you guys will be lucky if you find Springfield on a map, let alone, file enough petitions to get on the ballot. But game on!
Just weighing in since my name was mentioned. I'm not the type to get in wars of words on blogs (the previous comment was not mine) and I don't post anonymously (or usually on blogs at all); I'm happy to talk to anyone anytime if there is an issue. Personally, the main concern of everyone I know is how to get signatures safely and properly given the COVID pandemic / surge, the bitter cold and the shortened timeframe. Whoever is running, for whatever office, and whoever they are supported by, I hope people stay safe and the process goes as smootly as possible/feasible. These are awful, unprecedented times and I am not the type of person to chest-thump or taunt about who does or doesn't get how many signatures in the future. Its going to be unpleasant for everyone. I have not heard anything about any candidates waiting to get signatures in order to confuse or misdirect opponents. My view is that, given how tough this is going to be, and the shortened window, everyone should be collecting as soon as possible (safely). Happy to talk offline to anyone -- Sean
