The Women's Bar Association of Illinois will hold its annual Judicial Reception on March 6, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., at the Chicago Cultural Center, 78 E. Washington St.
Tickets for this event are $150 each for members, $195 each for non-members. Law students and new attorneys (licensed for under two years) will be admitted for $95 each. Sitting judges will be admitted free.
The WBAI will honor six current or former judges at this event. Recipients of the Hon. Mary Heftel Hooton Award include recently retired Circuit Court Judge Janet Adams Brosnahan, current Cook County Associate Judge Maryam Ahmad, U.S. District Court Judge Mary M. Rowland, Illinois Appellate Court Justice Sanjay T. Taylor, and retired 7th Circuit Judge Ann Claire Williams. The late Judge James P. Flannery will be recognized posthumously.
