Can anyone please explain to me what operating engineers know about who will make a good judge?
The IUOE has as much right to express its preferences as anyone else, and if this union, or any other, publicly endorses Cook County judicial candidates, I'll try and get those endorsements published here. Nobody says that this group, or any group, has a monopoly on knowing who'd be a good judge. But it is a data point: One thing to consider among (hopefully) many. It's part of building a winning coalition, too. Stay tuned; I'll have more to say on this soon.
