Berwyn Township Democrats make endorsements in Cook County Judicial races

The Democratic Citizens of Berwyn have announced their choices in Cook County judicial races, choosing Justice Jesse G. Reyes for the Supreme Court, Judge Sandra Gisela Ramos for the Neville Jr. vacancy on the Appellate Court, and Justice John Griffin for the Appellate Court's Simon vacancy. Only the endorsement of Justice Griffin tracks with the Cook County Democratic Party's judicial slate.

Only one of the Party's countywide Circuit Court choices was also endorsed by the Democratic Citizens of Berwyn, that being Araceli Reyes De La Cruz for the Roti vacancy.

The Berwyn group took a pass on many of the countywide judicial contests, but did endorse Kelly Marie McCarthy for the Coghlan vacancy, Amanda "Mandy" Pillsbury for the Murphy Gorman vacancy, and former Judge Russell W. Hartigan for the C. Sheehan vacancy.

In subcircuit races, the Democratic Citizens of Berwyn have endorsed Owens "Joe" Shelby for the 7th Subcircuit Jackson vacancy and, in the 14th Subcircuit, Judge Gerardo Tristan Jr. (Bertucci vacancy) and Perla Tirado (Lacy vacancy).

In other races of interest to FWIW readers, the Democratic Citizens of Berwyn have endorsed Bill Conway for State's Attorney and State Sen. Iris Y. Martinez for Clerk of the Circuit Court.

The Organizing the Data posts will be updated accordingly.
