ACS Chicago Legal Legends Luncheon set for September 12

The Chicago Lawyer Chapter of the American Constitution Society is holding its Legal Legends Luncheon on Tuesday, September 12, at noon, at the Union League Club, 65 W. Jackson Blvd. The program will feature keynote remarks from Colleen Connell, Executive Director of the ACLU of Illinois, and presentations by Zinelle October, ACS Executive Vice President, and Geoffrey R. Stone. the Edward H. Levi Distinguished Service Professor of Law at the University of Chicago Law School.

The ACS Chicago Chapter will also confer its Abner J. Mikva and Ruth Goldman awards at the luncheon.

The 2023 Abner J. Mikva awardees are:

• Patricia Brown Holmes, Managing Partner, Riley Safer Holmes & Cancila LLP,
• Thomas Geoghegan, Shareholder, Despres, Schwartz & Geoghegan, Ltd.,
• Bob Graham, Of Counsel, Jenner & Block LLP,
• Tina Tchen, Executive Vice President, Strategy & Impact, Obama Foundation, and
• Brian Wallach, Founder, I AM ALS; Associate, Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP.

The 2023 Ruth Goldman awardees are:

• Karyn Bass Ehler, Assistant Chief Deputy Attorney General, Illinois Attorney General's Office and
• Ameri Klafeta, Director, Women's and Reproductive Rights, ACLU of Illinois
