According to a press release issued today by the Chief Judge's Office, of the the original 246 applicants, 23 withdrew from the process, including two who withdrew after they were interviewed by the Circuit Court Nominating Committee.
The Nominating Committee consisted of the following Circuit Court judges: Chief Judge Timothy C. Evans; Grace G. Dickler, Presiding Judge, Domestic Relations Division; Erica L. Reddick, Acting Presiding Judge, Criminal Division; James P. Flannery, Jr., Presiding Judge, Law Division; Sophia H. Hall, Administrative Presiding Judge, Juvenile Justice and Child Protection Resource Section; Moshe Jacobius, Presiding Judge, Chancery Division; Sanjay T. Tailor, Acting Presiding Judge, County Division; Raul Vega, Presiding Judge, Domestic Violence Division; Jill C. Marisie, Presiding Judge, Third Municipal District; Shelley Sutker-Dermer, Presiding Judge, Second Municipal District; and E. Kenneth Wright, Jr., Presiding Judge, First Municipal District.
As usual, a lot of current and former State's Attorneys.
ReplyDeleteBy my count, 6 former judges; two spouses of current judges; and the niece of one of the presiding judges (and Executive Committee Member at that). Oh, and the former lawyer and campaign chairman for Tim Evans (when he ran for Mayor of Chicago in 1988). LOL! God Bless America and God Damn Cook County!
