Ms. Wrenn was admitted to practice law in Illinois in 2001 and served for almost ten years as a Cook County Assistant State’s Attorney. Ms. Wrenn also served as the Ethics and EEO officer for PACE and as General Counsel of the National Safety Council. Ms. Wrenn is well regarded for her knowledge of the law, excellent legal ability, and outstanding temperament.The Chicago Council of Lawyers says:
Hon. Jeanne Marie Wrenn was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 2003. She was appointed to the bench by the Illinois Supreme Court. Before taking the bench, she served as an Ethics Officer and EEO Officer for Pace. She had been there since 2012. Before that she worked as an Assistant Cook County State’s Attorney where she prosecuted felon narcotics cases, and was then assigned to be the Legislative Liaison to the Illinois General Assembly.The Illinois State Bar Association says:
Ms. Wrenn has bench and jury trial experience in less complex matters, but her work in the legislative arena and her work as an Ethics Officer required detailed analysis and advocacy involving complex matters. She was praised for her work both as a prosecutor and a legislative analyst. She is reported to have very good legal ability and temperament. The Council balances relatively limited litigation experience before taking the bench against other experiences that demonstrate strong analytic thinking. The Council finds her Qualified for the Circuit Court.
Jeanne Marie Wrenn was admitted in 2003. She was appointed to the circuit court in February 2018 and is currently assigned to the Municipal Department, First District, Traffic Section. From 2015 to 2017, she was senior director and general counsel for the National Safety Council. She has previously worked as an assistant state’s attorney and from 2012 to 2015 she was Ethics and EEO officer at PACE. She has criminal jury and bench trial experience, and attorneys praise her temperament, trial skills and hard work. She is involved in civic activities. Myron “Mike” Mackoff has been licensed since 1994. He was appointment to the Circuit Court in December, 2016, and is currently assigned to Domestic Relations. Prior to his appointment, Judge Mackoff was a partner in the firm of Richardson and Mackoff, which he joined in 2009 after spending time with the Illinois Attorney General and with a private firm. As an attorney he concentrated on litigation, trying both criminal and civil cases, and has substantial jury and bench trial experience. He is considered to be always prepared, diligent and very competent. He has been active in bar association matters, has taught at Northwestern University School of Law, and in 2008 the North District of Illinois Federal Trial Bar presented him with an Award for Excellence for Pro Bono work.
