Today, the Illinois Supreme Court decided to appoint Jones to that same vacancy. The appointment is effective September 25 and terminates on December 3, 2018. However, if Jones' election bid is successful, December 3 will be the day on which Jones is sworn in to replace... himself.
Jones has been with the Public Defender's Office since 1994, when he received his Illinois law license. He has been a member of the Homicide Task Force in that office since 2004.

The King of Traffic Court aka Carlos Playa, has just been appointed to replace the Pariah of Traffic Court aka Richard Kook. Congrats Carlos!
ReplyDeleteIf someone referred to me as the Pariah of Traffic Court they would be correct. If someone referred to me as the King of Traffic Court I would be insulted. (On the 4th Floor too long and not liking it at all. Would also like to walk in spectacular fashion but do not want to labeled a copycat) Welcome aboard Mr. Beach.
