Coleman Vacancy

Thaddeus L. Wilson -- Qualified*
Thaddeus L. Wilson is “Qualified” for the office of Circuit Court Judge. Mr. Wilson was admitted to practice law in Illinois in 1994 and is experienced in both civil and criminal law. Mr. Wilson has also served as an arbitrator and as a hearing officer for the Board of Election Commissioners. Mr. Wilson possesses all the requisite qualifications to serve as a Circuit Court Judge.

Linnae Bryant -- Not Recommended
Linnae Bryant is "Not Recommended" for the office of Circuit Court Judge. Ms. Bryant was admitted to practice law in Illinois in 1987 and has been in solo practice since 1991, concentrating in general civil litigation, real estate, corporate and probate law. Ms. Bryant has had limited practice experience and does not possess the requisite legal knowledge and experience to serve as a Circuit Court Judge.

Steele Vacancy

Sharon Oden-Johnson -- Not Recommended
The candidate declined to participate in the Judicial Evaluation Committee (JEC) screening process and, therefore, according to The Chicago Bar Association's governing resolution for the JEC, is automatically found NOT RECOMMENDED.

Michelle Hugghis Flagg -- Not Recommended
Michelle Hugghis Flagg is "Not Recommended" for the office of Circuit Court Judge. Ms. Flagg was admitted to practice law in Illinois in 2003 and is engaged in private practice. Ms. Flagg is intelligent and enthusiastic, but lacks the requisite practice experience to serve as a Circuit Court Judge.

Jesse Outlaw -- Not Recommended
Jesse Outlaw is "Not Recommended" for the office of Circuit Court Judge. Mr. Outlaw was admitted to practice law in Illinois in 1980 and has concentrated his practice in real estate, bankruptcy, divorce, and probate law. The candidate possesses a fine temperament, but does not possess the requisite depth and breadth of legal experience to serve as a Circuit Court Judge.

Joseph Chico -- Not Recommended
Joseph Chico is "Not Recommended" for the office of Circuit Court Judge. Mr. Chico was admitted to practice law in Illinois in 1993 and currently serves as a full-time hearing officer for the City of Chicago. Mr. Chico presides over predominantly pro se administrative hearings. While Mr. Chico is personable and possesses a fine temperament, he has had limited practice and trial experience. At this stage of his career, Mr. Chico does not possess the requisite legal knowledge and experience to serve as a Circuit Court Judge.

Theodore “Ted” London -- Not Recommended
The candidate declined to participate in the Judicial Evaluation Committee (JEC) screening process and, therefore, according to The Chicago Bar Association's governing resolution for the JEC, is automatically found NOT RECOMMENDED.

"A" Vacancy

Bonita Coleman-John -- Not Recommended*
Bonita Coleman-John is "Not Recommended" for the office of Circuit Court Judge. Ms. Coleman-John was admitted to practice law in Illinois in 1992 and concentrates her practice in domestic relations, real estate, criminal and probate matters. While Ms. Coleman-John was found qualified for service as an Associate Judge, at this stage of her career, she does not possess the requisite depth and breadth of experience to serve as a full Circuit Court Judge. It is recommended that Ms. Coleman-John obtain additional practice experience before reapplying for a Circuit Court position.

* Ms. Coleman-John is unnopposed in the Democratic Primary and has no Republican opponent in November.
