Abbey Fishman Romanek -- Qualified
Abbey Fishman Romanek is "Qualified" for the office of Circuit Court Judge. Ms. Romanek was admitted to practice law in Illinois in 1987 and is experienced in both civil and criminal law. Ms. Romanek possesses all the requisite qualifications to serve as a Circuit Court Judge.

Yehuda Lebovits -- Qualified
Judge Yehuda Lebovits is "Qualified" for the office of Circuit Court Judge. Judge Lebovits was admitted to practice law in Illinois in 1983 and had a wide range of experience before his appointment to the bench in 2009. Judge Lebovits is assigned to the First Municipal District and presides over a variety of calls. Judge Lebovits is well regarded for his fine temperament and possesses all the requisite qualifications to serve as a Circuit Court Judge.

Geary W. Kull -- Highly Qualified*
Geary W. Kull is "Highly Qualified" for the office of Circuit Court Judge. Mr. Kull was admitted to practice law in Illinois in 1974 and has extensive trial and appellate experience. Mr. Kull is highly regarded for his knowledge of the law, legal ability, and outstanding temperament.

Dennis Michael Fleming -- Qualified
Dennis Fleming is "Qualified" for the office of Circuit Court Judge. Mr. Fleming was admitted to practice law in Illinois in 1976 and served as an Assistant Cook County Public Defender for two years before entering private practice. Mr. Fleming also has experience as an Administrative Hearing Officer for the City of Chicago and serves as Chairman of the City's Liquor License Appeal Commission. Mr. Fleming has a fine temperament and demeanor and possesses all the requisite qualifications to serve as a Circuit Court Judge.

Steven James “Steve” Bernstein -- Not Recommended
Steven James Bernstein is "Not Recommended" for the office of Circuit Court Judge. Mr. Bernstein was admitted to practice law in Illinois in 1971. Mr. Bernstein was engaged in private practice for twenty-eight years and for the past several years has served in an administrative and research position with the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority. Mr. Bernstein has been active in local government for the City of Evanston and served as: Alderman of the 4th Ward from 1997-2009; Democratic Committeeman 2003-04; and Township Assessor from 1991-1997. In recent years, Mr. Bernstein's court experience has been minimal and concerns were raised about his legal knowledge and ability to serve as a Circuit Court Judge.

Michael Ian Bender -- Qualified*
Michael I. Bender is “Qualified” for the office of Circuit Court Judge. Mr. Bender was admitted to practice law in Illinois in 1991. Mr. Bender is knowledgeable, hardworking, diligent, and dedicated to public service. Mr. Bender possesses the requisite qualifications to serve as a Circuit Court Judge.

Jeffrey Dov Greenspan -- Qualified
Jeffrey Dov Greenspan is "Qualified" for the office of Circuit Court Judge. Mr. Greenspan was admitted to practice law in Illinois in 1979 and has broad practice experience in state and local government, workers' compensation, personal injury, and environmental law. Mr. Greenspan is well respected for his integrity and work ethic.

William Joseph Luby -- Qualified
William J. Luby is "Qualified" for the office of Circuit Court Judge. Mr. Luby was admitted to practice law in Illinois in 1994 and is experienced in both civil and criminal law. Mr. Luby possesses all the requisite qualifications to serve as a Circuit Court Judge.

Scott Bagnall -- Not Recommended
Scott Bagnall is "Not Recommended" for the office of Circuit Court Judge. Mr. Bagnall was admitted to practice law in Illinois in 1986 and concentrates in personal injury, workers' compensation, and real estate. Since 1998, Mr. Bagnall has also served as a part-time assessor for Niles Township. Mr. Bagnall does not possess the requisite depth and breadth of legal experience to serve as a Circuit Court Judge.

Mary S. Trew -- Qualified
Mary Susan Trew is "Qualified" for the office of Circuit Court Judge. Ms. Trew was admitted to practice law in Illinois in 1991 and has extensive trial experience, largely in criminal defense. Ms. Trew has served as Executive Director of the Domestic Violence Legal Clinic and is dedicated to public service. Ms. Trew is hardworking and well regarded for her fine demeanor, knowledge of the law, and legal experience.
