Nurses try to quit -- and are indicted... along with their lawyer

A New York State appellate court has put on hold, at least for now, the scheduled April 28 criminal trial of 10 Filipino nurses and their lawyer on charges of conspiracy, endangering the welfare of a child, and endangering the welfare of a disabled person -- apparently because the nurses quit their jobs at a Long Island nursing home.

I was unable to find the New York State Appellate Division order on Westlaw this evening. For more background about this story, see this February 28 post on ABA Journal.com or this March 23, 2007 article in the North Country Gazette.
